Of course, you can check eBay or Craigslist but then comes the risk of buying something from someone you know nothing about… I don’t like buying from eBay anymore, especially since sellers no longer are able to leave negative or neutral feedback for buyers!!!
As en alternative, I would strongly recommend BH Photo Used Equipment Section. I’ve talked about B&H Photo before, I love doing business with them… They probably have the best customer service in the industry, the best return policies, great warranties and amazing prices!

So when you buy used equipment from them, it’s basically the B&H service and warranty but to used gear!

Been looking at the Nikon D3X sample images and I have to say, it’s stunning… As a reminder, the D3x can produce 50MB 14-bit RAW files that can be processed to produce 140MB TIFFs!!
As you will see with the images are sharp and the dynamic range is exceptional. The images posted are direct from camera without any corrections whatsoever.
If this is the price to pay to be able to send the file to press without any post work, I’m in!
Can’t wait to have a few NEF files to play with!

I dunno what to think… Two weeks after the BIG announcement, RED has yet posted another announcement.
It’s not that it’s uninteresting, just that it’s more vaporware and pretty image renderings. In one word, dull…
I don’t see the point in making such a big fuss about detailing the trading option plan and new images, that’s why there is a forum, post news and info right? Why building the suspense a week in advance saying “BIG change” coming up…
Anyways, the good news is that the camera kit with a decent small sensor (3K Scarlet = 4.9MP @120 fps) and lens would be around $3,750. This is more expensive than a Nikon D90 or Canon 5D MkII for a smaller MP but video quality should be much better.
