For the next few weeks, Veoh will be home to full episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 of Nickelodeon’s red-hot anime series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Now Avatar fans can get their airbending fix for free online anytime, anywhere!
If you haven’t already been hooked by Avatar, here’s the basic rundown:
Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in an Asian-influenced fantasy world of martial arts and elemental manipulation. In this world, human civilization is divided into four nations based on natural elements: the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Air Nomads, and the Fire Nation. Each nation is home to gifted people called “Benders” who have the ability to manipulate the element of their nation. In addition, there is one person on the planet who is able to “Bend” all four elements - this person is referred to as “The Avatar.”

Heroes: The Second Coming
Yeah, another show I started watching at the beginning but gave up on. Fortunately, with last year’s short season, “Heroes” was pretty easy to come back to. The storyline has moved forward, which is awesome since I was kind of annoyed by some of the stuff that was happening. Now, without knowing a lot of happened in season 2, titled “Generations,” I get to jump into the fray and enjoy “Villains.” So far, so good.
What I liked: unexpected bad guys and girls (Seriously. Ando?) Cool music. Great effects, though I could have done without Sylar rooting around in Claire’s brain. And what was up with that homage to “Halloween”? Claire hides in a locked closet while Sylar hangs around outside? Another movie homage was worked into the ep-HRG’s Steve McQueen impersonation from “The Great Escape.” Huh. Maybe there’s a hidden message in the movie reference (aside from the obvious: he’s about to bust out). Also, I love Peter and Nathan’s mom. She is a bad ass. Did we know already that she had powers that she passed down to her children? Because that’s cool. And of course, any self-respecting former English major had to dig it when we realized what the episode title refers to: Yeats’ poem “The Second Coming,” in which “anarchy is loosed upon the world.” Is Sylar our “
