Spice Up Your Local Life with TellmewhereJanuary 6

Tellmewhere is a collaborative site where users come together to create a database of points of interest in their local areas.  On Tellmewhere you can share your favorite local places, point them out on a map and even upload pictures. You can also search for new and interesting places in your own area that have been recommended by other users.  Tellmewhere also gives users personalized recommendations based on their friends and places that they like.

Tellmewhere isn’t only limited to places to go out to eat or party.  You will also find consumer goods, sighseeing attractions, moving companies, hospitals and more.  You can use this new tool to find everything you need in your local area and spice up your life like never before.

Want to Make a Viral Video? Learn from SamsungDecember 31 2008

Oftentime brands don’t understand why the online videos they post don’t become viral. Many times the reason for this is the fact that their videos focus too much on the brand and not on the “viral”. If a video is not cool enough for me or you to pass on to our friends, then most chances are that no one else will pass it on to their friends either.  Check out this great video Samsung did for their new Omnia (i900) phone which received 2,337,666 views already on YouTube. It’s a great example for how a video goes viral if it’s actually entertaining for the audience.

Andrea Vascellari Talks to Blonde 2.0 at LeWebDecember 29 2008

Earlier this month at LeWeb I sat down with Andrea Vascellari, CEO of iTive, a digital marketing and strategy consultancy based in Finland. Andrea and I have been online friends for years and it was really exciting for both of us to meet offline for the first time.  In our interview we talk about everything from LeWeb to Gossip Girl.  Also notice my unusual knack for picking up the accents of those that I am talking to :-)
