What is GOOD music?January 2

so, i was told yesterday that I, MEG LIZ, had BAD taste in music!!!! WHAT?? Because i didnt know what “good” music was! I was silent, and if you know me well enough, you know that when im SILENT…that means dont say another word to me or i will break yo face! LOL jk jk, but seriously, if i just look at you with a blank stare and say absolutely nothing, that means im super super ultra HELLA MAD!

I pride myself on always having the exclusives, all the good stuff, FIRST. I was known in college for my “mixtapes” LOL thats so stupid, but i mean people asked for them, so that means people were diggin what i was listening to. I listen to ALL kinds of music, Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Techno, Dance, Pop, Rock, Alternative, Indie…love it ALL! Okay, so i will admit i HATE neo-soul, i dont like Common, India Arie, John Legend…all that soul garbage.

So with that said, i think its safe to say i enjoy most music, and I give pretty much everything a chance. I appreciate anything that makes me happy, makes me wanna dance, gets me hype or energized. People listen to what they like, its a personal preference. I think it is absurd for people to make such a statement that categorizes what is “good” music, honestly, how self-righteous is that! Music is art, and I am no stranger to the world of art and entertainment. I am an artist myself, I hold a bachelors of fine arts from the University of North Carolina, and of course, im a performer. Bad Luck?December 31 2008

Why do I always have such BAD luck with waitresses and waitors? Is it that I really do have bad luck, or do I just expect bad service so much that my expectations become reality? I mean I know Im picky, I just cant help if I know what I want, bc when i know what i want, I WANT it exactly how i want it! Is that wrong?

Yesterday was a perfect example, I tell the Dude at Giardino’s my order 4 TIMES…and he still gets is HORRIBLY wrong! Geezz, I cant help but recall one of my favorite bad-service memories. Don’t worry there will be more good stories to come, bc i have ALLOT! Here we go….

We were so excited for 2-for-1 drinks that we were chanting it under our breathe during “gates” (gates=after the game when the mermaids come out and fans get our autographs and take pictures with us) …SO everyone orders their drinks, asking the waitress to go ahead and just bring out 2 drinks at a time, bc the kitchen and bar was closing (the manager kept it open for the mermaids :) (we gave him a signed poster:) Cool Guy….anyways…when the waitress asks for my order I ask if the Tropical Margarita was included in the 2-for-1 deal, she looked at me with a blank stare and kept on mo

I had some dude behind me that LITERALLY called every single person in his phone book to see if they voted. (AND I would love to add….that he called every single one of them “sweetie” and “baby” in Spanish) I hope he has allot of children….
so my ipod came out REAL quick!
THEN when i finally made it inside, I hand the lady my ID, and she yells “OMG ARE YOU A MERMAID!!!!!??” (everyone in the entire church stares at me)
Then she goes on (screaming) “Dance for us!!” and “OMG girl do you get to meet football players???!!!!”
WOW…thats all just WOW!
I feel embarrassed to even type what else she SCREAMED!!
Anyways, aside from her making a huge scene outta me, my voting experience in FL was FAB! I feel like a ROCKSTAR! WOO WHOOO!!!
I feel happy & proud to be alive on what may be a TRULY monumental day!
I can’t say I agree with EVERYTHING Obama, but he truly is a BEAUTIFUL iconic figure, and the change that he represents is Magnificent!
