Always seem to spend January listening to really 'cold' music - my playlists for the last week or so somewhat resembles Richard Clouston's 20 Best Industrial Records!
So it was that I ended up listening to this track by Carol & Snowy Red (aka Micky Mike). This isn't the hallowed 7" version but still pulls the heart strings. Perfect 4am fodder.

Looks like it's going to be a big year for Brooklyn...
Following the success of Gang Gang Dance and MGMT last year, bright young sparks Telepathe look set to explode in 2009. Their initial release, the genius 'Sinister Militia' on The Social Registry, is one of those 'must-have' records and they followed this up last year with killer tracks 'Chrome's On It' and 'Devils Trident'.
With promise of more in 2009 and that elusive debut album, they're going to be ones to watch...
