Guessing game: In one of these strips of photos Evie and I are just being ourselves. In the other we are trying our best to mimic each other's natural poses from the strip that was taken first. Which is which?

I guess that this must be the place.August 22 2008

I am here. After all the packing and dining and drinking and stress and love and crying and fun and driving and jetting, I have arrived... ...home?

I am in Berkeley, living with The Girls and working at a charter high school for college bound kids. The staff seems young, committed and welcoming. Once I am done signing my name to myriad papers, faxing, emailing and phoning in the logistics, I think I'm gonna like it here.

I am even welcomed by the strangers here. Today on BART I asked a girl for directions home and she turned out to be the best friend of one of my new colleagues. Afterwards, as I was exiting the train a German woman approached me pointing to an article in the New Yorker. She looked me in the eye and said, "I think you would really like this article." She said it as if she knew me and went on to describe it in great detail. She wasn't a crazy either, just a regular woman who thought she understood

Bufón SeriesJuly 3 2008
I've been recently inspired to make good on promises to friends having to do with one of my doodles - Bufón. I'm so pleased to actually be taking photos of these doodles nowadays, but I would really like to start building a collection of photos of my older work. If you know me well, then you know that there is seldom a work of art I make that I keep. So, what I am proposing is that if any of you out there have an original Bufón, that you take a photo of it and email it to me. It doesn't matter what it is- a napkin doodle, a finished piece or a graffito - if you have it, i want it. I will be willing to do a new Bufón for the owner of each old Bufón that is sent to me, so, snap away.

Here are the three steps that lead to this decision:

This extra large version was made for Andrew Marantz, who was the most recent person to request one (the things in the corners are large candles holding them down).

Phil Collins: No Jacket RequiredJune 29 2008

This is a painting from Master Lucas Chute of Brooklyn, one of my artistic mentors.

LayersJune 17 2008
This is one of my newer experiments. Two translucent layers on top of one transparent surface and lastly the opaque background. The work can be paged through like a vellum.
