Well, i’m shuttin’ ‘er down for the holidays! The sUbnORmALiTy will return next year (what?!), ie: early january (phew!), so have y’alls a merry x-mas and an even merrier new year’s and don’t be getting all drunk with creepy uncle Ted and driving the combine harvester through the halls of a major metropolitan shopping center at 3am with a kidnapped judge as your copilot and a cooler full of Olde Tyme Aylcoholyc Pete’s fortified wine as your backseat driver. And for god’s sake watch out for surprise alien abductions! This is when they strike, when The People are distracted by holly and mistletoe and stockings full of useless things like coal and copies of Chinese Democracy. Well, not really. Coal has many uses. All the best, then, and thanks x150 to everyone for a great year!

Together at last. And the comic is done at last. My apologies for the delay, I got a little sick and then i lost confidence in my ability to draw which i guess is my punishment for making a hundred of these damn things. The universe frowns on me and my huge walls of text. But it’s done now, anyway, so…uh…yeah, there you go.

So that is indeed a century of crazy comix, and i would be lying if i said i was expecting to make it this far. After the first year of the comic i’d gotten like one email and i was all like “fuck this, i’m gonna quit,” but then things kind of picked up shortly after so here i remain. A big thanks to everyone who’s Dugg the comix, or Stumbled Upon them, or seen one elsewhere and Reddit and enjoyed it. Word of mouth is the only advertising that means anything, so i’m glad people have felt the comix are worth telling others about. Thanks also to everyone who’s written in or left comments. There’s been some really nice emails and comments lately, and it’s just super-encouraging and such, so, y’know, much appreciated. Hey, i might even make another 100 of these stupid things. OKAY, SO…
Okay, so i went ahead and spent fifty thousand hours setting everything up and so now there are t-shirts, there are t-shirts. Did you ever want a shirt with a belligerent mythical creature on it? Well, now’s your chance, kids and cadets. You can even choose the color of the shirt (except in Europe, but more on that later). You can even not buy any because i realize that you’re here for comix and not clothing, but more on that later as well. At any rate, what i do know is that i worked hard at some designs and then i worked hard at fixing up the website (have a look around, it’s, well, vaguely different in spots. New home page and logo and such), so one may judge for one’s self the results. As for me, i’m kind of…

I mean, i realize that selling merchandise is the new business model of online comix, and i realize that i’ve been spending the last four years drawing and drawing and literally not making a dime, but i’m still not used to the whole t-shirts thing. Okay, it’s done, and i’m sorry for the delay. I wasn’t goofing off, i swear! I just horribly misjudged how long it was going to take to color the damned thing. OKAY, HERE’S THE DEAL
Okay, so i’m working on some website-related stuff that goddamn needs to get done soon, so i need to take a week off from the comic. Thus, there will not be another Subnormality until two weeks from now, sadly. I’m just full of shameful news this week, but i’m only taking the break to work on comic-related things! It’s better for me, it’s better for you, it’s better for them! I think i took that quote from a star trek movie, so i have no idea who “them” is, but the point is that it should prove to be worth it. Huge, secret things are brewing! Massive rumblings underneath! Whisperings among the troops! Something is afoot at the Circle-K! Announcements to follow, so stay tuned ’cause i’ll talk to yer soon…
