- MacWorld 2009 Keynote Wrap-UpYesterday

There were some fun new announcements today at the MacWorld 2009 Keynote Address. Much attention was focused on this year’s conference because it will be the last (apparently) that Apple will actually be attending and because Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs, didn’t do the keynote presentation today. It was given, instead, by Apple’s Senior VP of Product Marketing, Philip Schiller.
iLife ‘09
iLife is Apple’s entertainment suite that ships with all new Macs. It includes iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand.
iLife ‘09 is scheduled to ship in late January. The upgrade price is $79 and the family pack price is $99. It will be available from the Apple Online Store.

Reader and Twitter user Scott asks, “Do you know if the Lightroom license allows it to be installed on a desktop and a laptop at the same time?”
Great question. I’ve written previously about software piracy, and I really respect those who try to stay within the intended guidelines set by software companies.
The answer, luckily, is yes. You are legally allowed to install Lightroom (and Photoshop, as well) on a second personal computer in your home or a portable computer (laptop) for your exclusive use as long as you don’t run the program on both computers at the same time.
According to page 124, section 2.4 of the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 End User License Agreement (EULA):
“Subject to the important restrictions set forth in Section 2.5, the primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed under Section 2.1 (“Primary User”) may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable Computer or a Computer located at his or her ho
