Dell’s Inspiron Mini 9September 14 2008

Okay, I know that I’m a big Apple fan and owner for more than ten years. However, I saw this unboxing video yesterday of Dell’s new Inspiron Mini 9 and I was quite taken by it. What a neat little computer. I like the fact that its so compact and lightweight. There are other mini PC’s out there such as the Asus Eee PC, which I also think is pretty cool.

This kind of product would be perfect for me to travel with, instead of taking my 15″ PowerBook G4. Don’t get me wrong, I love my PB G4, but to be able to carry something about the size of a hard covered novel, to me, would be wonderful! Hey, I can’t do everything from my iPhone. I wonder if Apple is developing a mini MacBook out there in Cupertino? Hmm… :)


Upgraded to iPhone software 2.1September 13 2008

While I’m still deciding on whether or not to upgrade to a 16GB 3G iPhone, last night I upgraded my precious 4GB first gen. to software 2.1. The upgrade took a while; first upgrading to iTunes 8 and then the whole backup process. However, the upgrade went seamlessly and my iPhone looks to be in good shape. I’ve tested most of my applications and they all seem quite stable. I’ll continue to put it through it’s paces and report back should I have any problems.


Chris Noth’s Final EpisodeAugust 16 2008

Just a reminder, for those of you who are Chris Noth fans: his final appearance on Law & Order: Criminal Intent will air Sunday night at 9PM EST on the USA Network. Chris Noth first played the role of Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order from 1990 - 1995. Then in 2005, the character was brought back to Criminal Intent.

Apparently, Jeff Goldblum will be replacing Noth next season. Should be interesting. :)


SciFi shows available on iTunesJuly 26 2008

I got so excited earlier this week, after finding out that the current Doctor Who series was available at the iTunes Store. Only recently have I really become a fan. I had seen a few episodes here and there, but only considered myself a occasional viewer. I really jumped on board, after watching Torchwood. (Love Captain Jack)!

Anyway, upon opening iTunes, not only did I find Doctor Who and Torchwood, but many of my favorite science fiction shows. Now, I know that these shows have been available for a while, I just never took the time to look. Although now, I find myself spending a lot of time in the App Store. ;)
