A GeekBrief.TV viewer who traveled to China told me Geek Brief is banned there. I don’t know if that’s still true, but I’ve decided the Olympics being in Bejing is more of a good thing than a bad thing because the world is paying attention to Chinese restrictions of freedom. I also don’t want to miss the girl’s gymnastic competition.

This Brief is an interview with Mike Nann from Digital-Rapids.com. Digital Rapids is providing the streaming technology to NBC that will make live coverage of multiple Olympic games possible to an extent we’ve never seen before. Here’s a quote from the Digital Rapids press release:

Sunday, I clicked a link from Twitter friend, Daynah, the PHP Princess . It took me to a Seesmic video posted by Eric Rice. The video is an augmented reality demonstration that gives us a glimpse into the future. Eric also blogged about the potential of augmented reality at ericrice.com/spin.

It took 40 minutes to update my iPhone with the 2.0.1 update, but so far, it’s been good. The most annoying issue fixed by the update (for me) was how hitting the delete button once would activate delete, delete, delete, delete, etc., until my whole line of text disappeared. iPhone App reviews are at www.iCali.tv.

NetShare is an iPhone app that allows you to use your iPhone as a modem to connect a laptop to the Internet. It’s been on and off the App Store. Hopefully by the time you see this, it’ll still be available. You can download it here.
