- Want to know how many people clicked your link? We give you the statsNovember 25 2008
-
Last week we introduced Fleck Lite, now we added some features to Fleck Lite and the original Fleck.
Boris wanted to know how many people clicked his links in Fleck and on Twitter. So this is why we added the “eye icon” and the number of views. Nice to know how many people follow your links, also nice to know what pages are more popular.
We track this as of now, no history unfortunately…

Another small change we made is that we added a Fleck.com short url to Fleck original, when sharing a link to twitter. This used to be Tinyurl, but now we needed to change this so we can present you the number of clicks and our link is shorter than that of tinyURL, so that saves you some characters.
This means that the original Fleck works in the same way as Fleck Lite but has more options. Here is a screenshot of the original fleck bookmarklet

You can tag your bookmarks and share them in your groups
Feel free to try Fleck.

At Fleck we’re huge fans of twitter (@patrick is me babey!). That is one of the reasons why Felck can post your Fleck to Twitter. But we got some requests to make it even easier for Twitter users to post interesting links to their favourite communication service. So that is exactly what we did.
We build Fleck Lite, 0% alcohol, 100% convenience for posting content to Twitter.
We post your url to twitter in short and fancy Fleck form (e.g. http://fleck.com/ZsbQg) to Twitter and save it as a bookmark on your Fleck profile. Fleck Lite combines the convenience of bookmarking with Twitter.
Sign on is super simple, just fill out your twitter info and drag this bookmarklet to your toolbar. You’re all set.
If you already have a Fleck account, just log in to Fleck, drag this bookmarklet to your toolbar and . Make sure your Twitter info is know to us on the preferences page.
Check out this introduction video (boy, did we have fun creating this video

We’re in the process of releasing a new version of Fleck. Not a redesign, but we will change some of the functionalities of Fleck. I’ll give more background on the changes once we’ve released the new version.
For now we’ve put some new changes live that I like to share with you:
- We changed the look and functionality of a fleck entry in your timeline. The title of a page will link to the original URL and in case a note has been you’ll see an external link icon that will lead you to the same page with the note(s) on top of it.
We’ve had feedback that most of the times people just want to see the page and not interact with it via the Fleck overlay. The main title is the the first thing to click, so instead of linking to the Fleck overlay, we will send you to the original page.- You can instantly see in what group a page has been saved.
We like to stimulate the use of groups. Sharing interesting stuff within groups makes your use of the web more efficient and interesting. You also get a lot less emails in your mailbox, as we’ll aggregate all things that are shared with you in max 1 email per day.
- The tools page has less options, the Fleck plugin for Firefox and the Flash overlay bookmarklet are no longer being features on this page (moved to extras).

Yesterday I started a video group in Fleck and invited some friends to share funny videos while browsing the web. This team effort reveals some quality content for the quiet moments at the office or for a great best of the web video night!
I’ll start a series of post with interesting stuff posted in this group, preceded by a introduction of the video. Feel free to join the group, share your funny videos and discover a lot of new cool videos.Introduction:
Peter is heavily in love with Esther, who lives next door. One day Peter wakes up and sees that the authorities build a big concrete wall between Peter and Esther garden. He gets angry, he wants to see Esther again!![endif]-->!--[if>

The editor in chief of The Next Web Blog, Ernst-Jan Pfauth shared a twitter post with us where one of his friends gives him feedback on his newly designed personal blog. Great to see Fleck functioning in this way.
