- Ewww. Jacksonville vs. Houston. Think Cheerleaders.Today

Other possibilities: the second half of Wisconsin at Virginia Tech in college hoops, following Dwight Howard vs. Kevin Garnett on the internet, and of course, Gossip Girl or Chuck, the latter of which is slowly working its way into our rotation. There’s no way around it: The Texans twin cheerleaders are easily tonight’s highlight. An option for the MNF crew: Further discuss Kornheiser’s 2006 visit to Jacksonville, when a homeless man walked into a restaurant and interrupted TK’s dinner. (He talked about it briefly in our interview.) What could possibly be interesting about this game? Get some sleep and come back fresh Tuesday. If it is a slow day, we may actually preview our rec-league semifinal hoops game Tuesday. Guess this made the rounds in the Northwest last week after Washington State pulled out an improbable 16-13 OT win over winless Washington, but in case you missed it … it has to be one of the finer video creations of the college football season. We’re waiting for somebody to make one about Phil Fulmer and Tennessee.

-
Flex Scheduling: “It is a shame ESPN doesn’t have flexible scheduling, but the NFL understandably believes moving games from Sunday to Monday, and vice versa, would be too disruptive. So ESPN is stuck with Jacksonville-Houston (ugh!) on Monday and Cleveland-Philadelphia on Dec. 15. Its other remaining games — Tampa Bay-Carolina Dec. 8 and Green Bay-Chicago Dec. 22 — should be meaningful.” Please do not confuse meaningful football with visually-appealing.
