- Paulo Coelho is on DiggToday
-
Paulo Coelho, a popular author from Brazil, is on Digg. See a screenshot of his Digg profile below:

Paulo Coelho gained fame earlier this year by pirating his own books and seeding the torrents on websites. He says that his book sales went up thanks to the buzz it created. He is perhaps the first mainstream author to do so. Wish other authors did the same.
Am I the only one surprised by the presence of a 61 year old full-time author on Digg? From what I can see, it is either the work of a dedicated fan, or Coelho himself.

Bookmarks can be used to store URLs of websites we visit often. Instead of having to remember all the URLs, you simply have to click “Bookmark this page” or its equivalent in your browser. All software are vulnerable to bugs and crashes - so, the chances of losing your bookmarks to a Firefox bug (more often caused by extensions) is high.
Instead of worrying over the safety of your bookmarks, you can put in place a comprehensive bookmark backup strategy, which I will be detailing in this post. There are three bookmark backup methods detailed here - exporting bookmarks to an external HTML file, using Foxmarks extension to backup your bookmarks online (so that floods, tsunami or any other disaster won’t touch your bookmarks) and Firefox Environment Backup Extension, which will do scheduled backups.
Upgrading to the latest version of Firefox is always a good idea, so get the latest version of Firefox (optional).
Backup bookmarks by exporting as HTML
Click Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks. This will bring up Bookmarks Manager(image below). All the bookmarks and bookmark folders are displayed.Click File => Export and save the file. The HTML file contains all bookmarks. To import all the bookmarks, click File -> Import and select the correct file. If you need to r
- uTorrent updated to v1.8.1October 8
-
Version 1.8.1 of popular and lightweight BitTorrent client uTorrent has been released. The new release brings several bug fixes - crashing on Windows Vista, a problem of BitTorrent trackers going offline after a few hours for no reason etc.
uTorrent is popular for being very light-weight and yet feature rich. uTorrent is currently available on Windows (and can be used on Linux under Wine), and a Mac OS X version is under development (get an alpha version of uTorrent for Mac OS X).

- How to get the new features on Stumble Upon?October 5
-
Tal Siach, a good friend of mine, and a respected social media power user, recently wrote a review of new Stumble Upon features (currently unavailable to most) on TechCrunch. However, most users cannot currently access the features of the new version. There are no invites - users are selected by Stumble Upon. However, there is a work-around to get the new Stumble Upon features.
Join Stumbleupon Beta Group. Beta features will be enabled for you. Joining the group brings you a warning that features you see are undergoing development and may be unstable. To remove the features, leave the group.
Of course, die-hard users will still prefer the toolbar, but it is nice to take the new version for a spin. Thanks QOT.
And while you’re at it, why not add me as a friend on Stumble Upon?
