Annie a gennaio, aspetta e spera: in autunno ci sono stati scazzi con la Island ed ella ha voluto ritirare il disco e cambiarlo perché insoddisfatta della riuscita (ettecredo). Mi sembra che la data di aprile indicata da amazon uk sia più plausibile.

per superare indenni l’ondata di rumore/nonrumore[1] che ha tracimato dissimulandosi in molti dei dischi del 2008 rendendoli più o meno uptodate, un po’ d’aria fresca con un brano retrofuturista dal belbury poly in uscita a fine mese. che è come entrare nei bar irrestaurati nel centro di milano, con gli infissi di legno e la reclame umida degli anni alle pareti e i martini dry con le olive e lo stuzzicadente dentro.

Stephen Hitchell, one-half of the acclaimed duo Echospace, will go solo early next year under the name Intrusion with a full-length entitled The Seduction of Silence. Hitchell has always been regarded as the dub lover of the two, and he is set to indulge that side of his musical personality here with vocals by Paul St. Hilaire on two of the album’s nine tunes. The island vibe runs throughout Seduction even when vocals aren’t present: “Montego Bay” reportedly is “packed with low-end punch, shuffle riddims and a rockers vibe,” while “Tswana Dub” features “Augustus Pablo-style melodicas.” Considering RA dropped a coveted 5/5 mark on the latter when it came out in August in 12-inch form, we’re hoping that Hitchell can maintain that level of quality throughout.
