SXSW '09 announces more bandsYesterday

SXSW has just released another list of 100+ bands that will be playing this year's fest. Standouts at first glance include Blaqstarr, Crystal Stilts, Kid Sister, 8Ball & MJG, Amanda Blank, Explosions in the Sky, Killer Mike, St. Vincent, Peter Bjorn and John, Dead Prez (!), and a few others.

Thanks to xxxchange for the tip on this one; I'd read elsewhere that Animal Collective's "My Girls" -- which is my current favorite song on MPP -- was likely something of an homage to Frankie Knuckles' Chicago house classic "Your Love," and this pretty much confirms that. Pretty great when the Panda Bear vocals kick in:
