Hey, PMOGers,
If you encountered a login box on our site from Twitter today, please don’t fret. Twitter has apparently changed its API, without notice, and so we are working on getting the Twitter feed back up and onto our website, without it asking you for our password. Until then, please stay up to date on the latest happenings by visiting this blog, and the Community News Forum on PMOG.com.
Thanks for your understanding,

Create chaos with your links!
This week Portals are on sale for 10 datapoints all day Thursday!
Seers everywhere, ally with Sasha Watkins and use the most scholarly of the chaotic tools, Portals!
A note from Sasha:

Sasha Watkins, Seer
“Greetings, my dear PMOGeans (and the rest of you, too). Tell me…have you ever glimpsed something strange in that thrilling moment after you’ve stepped into a portal, as the air is crackling and pulsing around you, with a strange metallic taste on the tongue?
My attempts to penetrate the concealed properties of Internet sites require two things: the collaboration of as many patrons of Chaos as can be acquired, and funding. Thusly, I have accepted a lucrative offer which allows me to continue my experimentation into the realm of Portal jaunts.
This capital has also empowered me to subsidize the cost of a certain essential tool, for the benefit of the fine PMOG commu

We are planning a big change to the PMOG toolbar. This month, we’re aiming to launch 0.6, with the following changes:

* PMOG toolbar top-aligned
* PMOG toolbar more than 2x thinner
* PMOG toolbar with more one-click buttons (no more navigating a menu to lay a Mine or draw a Portal - thanks for your feedback!)We want to make it easy to use PMOG tools as we surf the web. We’ve been at the bottom of people’s browsers over a year now. We think we can get a lot more PMOG action if we put the toolbar up top, and make the tools one click away.
Your Stewards suggested we should include a preference for people to select top or bottom alignment for the toolbar. Perhaps having the toolbar at the bottom of the screen is more discrete, and we should let players keep PMOG there.

GameLayers is a small company focused on making an awesome game out of life on the internet. When we need technical and server support, we turn to our hosting partners, Engine Yard.Engine Yard hosts the machines that power PMOG, and brings qualified brains to help us tune our software and databases. Engine Yard specializes in hosting Ruby on Rails projects, the open source web application framework Duncan Gough, our CTO, chose for PMOG.
PMOG is a lively hybrid of game ideas and web technologies, so it’s important for us to have smart folks helping us. We like Engine Yard because they’re flexible - they can configure new “slices”, basically, processors, memory and hard drives, on short notice.

As of 1400 PDT, 6 Jan 2009, we are working on resolving some issues regarding security and Mines. PMOG will be up and down for the next hour or so.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
