Don’t Say I Say WE - cc Bob JagendorfAnd WE are back!
World Service
Things have changed since the last time anything was published on the Winning Everyone blog. As this year draws to a close, it is time for us to make a decision for each of the following 3 areas:
- What to expect in the end of this year?
- What should we look forward to in 2009?
- Are we becoming who we have wanted to be?
Expectations
At the beginning of this year, I had wanted to create a normal blog with posts for friends with an aim to building them up. It too was my first venture into writing for the public. I had only expected a trickle of visitors coming irregularly to this site, and got some of my close buddies to join me to write and get some exposure for themselves at the same time.
It was totally unexpected that we got to see a site grow and reached a much wider audience over the months.
There was a slight hiatus for the past two months as we were had to manage our ex

I was living in lack, all I had was inconsistent amount of pocket money that my parents gave me. I need to walk home almost everyday as I couldn’t afford a bus ride home.
There were at time where I could only afford to have meal for the day, that was the sum total of breakfast plus lunch and dinner for me. I had a joke with my friends about this, I call this single meal that sums up breakfast, lunch and dinner as “brelundin”. I kept thinking to myself that is this the kind of life I want to live? How long am I going to live in lack and if there is a way that I can wriggle out of this pit hole. When I asked myself this question, I checked my pocket and was disappointed to find only a few coins.
The first thing that came to my mind was, how am I going to increase my finances?
I was reminded that my friends were s

Image courtesy of beau-fotoHere’s one fear which I am certain that many of us have, and that is the fear of going on forward and being felt constrained by the “thorns of our flesh” that we face – most of the time brushing it off and generalizing them as “bad habits”.
Self-imposed restrictions (effects of personal judgment)

Ever heard someone constantly talking about how they won’t be able to achieve anything of significance that they can be proud of due to the stuffs that they faced? Some examples would be like the lack of resources, lack of formal education, lack of networks, stammering, and eventually feeling like a walking dead-on ringer for a complete failure.
Know anyone as described in the previous paragraph?
Do you also know that by saying all that as mentioned in the examples above, they too have structured up a wall of self-impos

Hillsongs - Forever
I’ll worship at your throne
Whisper my own love song
With all my heart I’ll sing
For You my Dad and KingI’ll live for all my days
To put a smile on Your face
And when we finally meet
It’ll be for eternityAnd oh, how wide You open up Your arms
When I need Your love
And how far You would come
If ever I was lost
You say that all You feel for me
Is undying love
That You showed me through the crossI’ll worship You my God
I’ll worship You my God
I love You, I love You
Forever I will sing
Forever I will be with You

- Taking Off The JacketSeptember 18 2008

Image courtesy of Okko PyykköAre you the kind of person who is seen wearing a jacket for most of the time of the week? It’s fine if you are situated in a place that is either low in temperature or if you are in a corporate setting where coat and overalls are a must.
What about the times when you are supposed to be doing work that you are serious and passionate about? How about times when you are having your break and while spending more casual time?
Take off that jacket. Let’s see what this term exactly means.
Taking the lead

In this article, references to jacket and leadership are synonymous. We see executives wearing their coats proudly as it resembles their authority in the office (“hah! I got a more expensive suit than you” mentality). That was for a more extreme example, but raise up your hands if you know someone like that.
If the office is cold, surely a jacket would help keep them warm and that’s alright. However if that same person is spotted wearing one possibly over sized coat in the areas especially during the lunch hour on the streets in the tr
