- User subscription countsNovember 24 2008
-
About 3 days ago we noticed that the subscription counts of FF users were calculated awfully wrong.
We don’t know why exactly it happened but it would be more convenient for us to blame FF for it
What happened is, suddently all users started to show up as private. When a user goes private we delete their subscription information. When more than 70% of the users went private our counts started to go out of way.We are in the process to gather the subscription information of users again, but it takes a while to fetch 100k users from the FF API.
We expect the numbers to back to normal in a few days.
We’re sorry for the inconvenienve this may have caused.
Update: I think we got the situation under control. If you notice some inconsistencies with your numbers please contact us.
- Widgets for FriendFeedHolics!November 13 2008
-
We launched FFholic widgets which can either be customized for a user’s most liked/commented/discussed entries or just to show off the “mosts” from everyone.
For example: Louis Gray, one of the most subscribed users on FriendFeed, added our widget to his blog to show his most liked FriendFeed entries.
To get your own widget simply check out our Tools section.
And, if you use any of our widgets please let us know. We really get so excited to see our product in action and used by people.
P.S.: Thank you Louis Gray! It was such a great surprise, you made our day.

I bet it was the feature you’ve been waiting

FriendFeed Room Search is live on FFholic (aka FriendFeedHolic).
Example: Rooms search for keyword “FriendFeed“
- Most discussed FriendFeed entries. No, it’s not most liked or most commented ;)September 30 2008
-
We launched a new feature called “Most Discussed Entries”. It is not most liked or most commented ones. With this new feature we find and track the most discussed and most meaningful conversations.
If you are one of those FriendFeed users who do not like cat photos or fun stuff, then you should check out the most discussed list for deep conversations.
You can check this new cool feature here.
