What would you like for Tweetmas?November 27

Tweetmas 2008

Tweetmas is a new site from CrowdStorm that asks one question “What would you like for Christmas?”. The site will let you share what you would like to see under the Christmas tree this year with your Twitter Buddies.

New features just added will also let you search for your Twitter friends to see what they have asked for this Christmas. You never know someone from your Twitter friends list may buy your dream gift this year. I’m hoping for an Aston Martin DBS. You can also follow @tweetmas on Twitter for latest updates etc…

Auto follow people on Twitter with TwollowNovember 17

Twollow is a new site that allows you to automatically follow people on Twitter based on the keywords you enter in. You can specify up to 5 different keywords, and as soon as someone mentions it in a tweet you will automatically follow them.

Here is a quick video demo from the makers on how Twollow works.

Quick Twollow.com Demo from jon on Vimeo.

One of the downsides I see to this service would be the spam implications, If for example you are an Apple fan and you type Apple as your keyword or iPhone then you are going to follow a lot of people very quickly which might be taken by Twitter as a spamming account.

Overall for following people based on them talking about your brand or username then this service could be a good tool, but for following people based on popular keywords such as Apple, iPhone, Obama, Coffee etc… this could potentially get you into hot water with Twitter.

What do you think useful tool or potential spamming system?

Twittonary is for the language of TwitterNovember 15

Did you know that If you are feeling sheepish or regretful about something you just tweeted you would be called tweepish, or if you are too overwhelmed by the number of tweets you are getting through you would be twitterpated. These are just two examples taken from a new site built to keep the language of Twitter under one roof, and it’s called the Twittonary

The Twittonary lists all the words that have been spotted and created throughout the Twitterverse with the meanings. If you are trying to find out what someone means if the have twitterphoria then you just type it in and hopefully it’s there. If you find a word that’s not there, or have created one of your own then you can drop them an email or tweet with your submission.
