- Uggos for Allison-AFSS43November 9
-
Allison is having a "slam yourself" contest of sorts this week. To play the game, you have to post one or more of the ugliest cards you have ever made. Now I personally have a box full of them and don't usually photograph them either. I am just saving the uggos ones to use a parts of new uggos-an odd way to recycle, I guess but sometimes it works.
Or I give them to unsuspecting children (Hi Kayla!)
Anyways, these four actually made it to my blog sometime in the past two years. So here ya go, Allison. I am sending ya a barf bag by cyberspace if you need it. Like a pregnant woman needs an excuse to upchuck?Just using the bits and pieces in a bin of paper. Could have been good.Could have. But wasn't.

I didn't want to say anything. It's not like me to publicly complain to strangers and have it go all over the blogiverse. I usually just crab to a select few until they physically or cyberly slap me. But I need to say this before I explode.
Earlier this year I took dozens of names in an attempt to send out fun filled packages of goodies. I had previously held a random selection of a name or names based on some silly question, trying to make things fun. I also at that time would post a photo. The new way was no photo, no random draw. I just took them in the order I got them and sent a few a week.

This was not cheap. Along with the items, which were new or leftovers from my stash, the postage ran anywhere from 6 to 12 bucks, depending on which country it went to. I made smaller envelopes for the most expensive destination because, honestly, I was running short of cash but wanted to make sure all who signed up got at least a small package.
I asked for an email confirmation that the giftees got them, and many of you did, - Tip GreedOctober 8

Do you know that some restaurants charge the waiters a credit card fee if you put the tip on the bill when paying? There was an article in the paper about it Sunday. The owners of the establishment get charged 1.8% to 3.5 % of the total to accept your credit card as payment. They are now passing the percentage of the bill that is a tip onto the waiter by deducting from the total amount of tip. Nice, huh? And you don't know it unless the waiter happens to tell you.
The average a waiter makes including tips in the US was $8.93 an hour as of 2007 according to the Labor Statistics. It did not say how many establishments are doing this percentage thing, but now that its "out in the open" I am betting a lot more will do it now that it's "legal".
I think we should all now go out of our way to place the tip in the waiter's hand-don't leave on the table because you don't know who will get it. Give it to the waiter and say thanks. I used to do this because I wasn't sure if they actually got the tips-now I will make sure they do. - Doing A Little Blog Housekeeping (AKA-Editing)September 22

Tonight I removed two blogs I had recently written from my other site "Eyeballs". I had included links to a quite interesting blog that for some reason, wants me to remain anonymous whenever I leave comments on his/her blog. I said no. I have a rule when commenting on blogs. I always use my real name. You can click my name if I leave a comment on your blog and it will take you back to either Eyeballs or Papertango-depending on the connection to your blog content. There is also a link to either/or on my sidebar. I removed the clickable link for the site in mention from my sidebar on PaperTango. I had not talked of this site in any way here on PaperTango to date.I do not leave nasty, troll-like postings on any blog. I know there are lots out there who do and it makes me spit! If I have something to say and don't want anyone to know who I am, there are anonymous blogs out there that allow you to do that. If you go to the sidebar, there is a "bitch" logo. Click that and email the proprietor (it's not me) and ask to be added or just leave a complaint/response/drunken diatribe on any post listed. That is just one of many such blogs out there that allow this.Again, if I visit your blog and have a comment, a snort, or even a giggle-I will always use my real name with a link to one of my blogs. If I
