-
Rob Scoble over at FastCompany.tv spent the last few days in China and through his journey he met some amazing people and some amazing companies. He also has a great perspective on the people of China and the future of international business. I agree with Rob that American’s seem to have their head in the sand about how powerful the Chinese people currently are and how powerful they are going to be for the foreseeable future. I have the opportunity to hang around in the education and government sector a lot and frankly these two groups don’t quite know what to make of our neighbors across the world. Some schools have begun teaching Mandarin and some have been begun using video conferencing technology to speak with schools in China. It is a good start but we need to do more. With the end of our financial system as we know it and the beginning of a new one on the way China is going to continually play an increasing role in world affairs. American’s need to be ready.
Hop over to Rob’s blog and read the recap about his experince in China.

Have you given it every thing you have during the week to really enjoy the moment this weekend when you can sit back and say I deserve this?
If you have just passed through the week without applying yourself or given it everything you have than you shouldn’t be sitting back on weekends and saying I deserve this because the reality is that you don’t really deserve it.
The people that work hard, get up early, apply themselves every day, put in the long hours, serve others, are passionate about what they do and those in their lives are the one that truly deserve to enjoy the weekend.
Bottom line is this . . . You are probably too young to sit back and say I deserve this weekend. I am 37, I finally sit back now after traveling extensively throughout the country, work hours from 5:30 till midnight many nights, speak to t
