bpal, I'm just not that into you.June 13

So before my surgery I was all worked up and you know, I decided to get super into bpal as a way of distraction. And I kind of like it, I like all the tiny bottles, I like organising them into different piles, I like sniffing them. And it's only been a couple of weeks, but I don't think that our relationship is going so great. I really only like about 10% of what I try, the rest I plan on selling. I have a post at the top of the journal with the things I want to get rid of, and I'll updated it as I continue to try things.

But, I'm not buying anything else. I have 2 more little bottles coming my way, then I'm out. I'll test what I have and keep a couple of bottles, the rest I'm going to try to sell as a lot on ebay. It's fun enough, but today I realised that for what I've spent I could have bought my pantone metallic book, and I'm kind of kicking myself. The book would have brought me infinitely more pleasure and soothed my brain meats more. So I'm going to sell what I have and stick with obsessively collecting color books.

For internet friends who aren't on LJ - I had my surgery yesterday. It went well in that they didn't find anything wrong and my recovery is easy - it went bad in that they didn't find anything so blah blah. I am still accepting gifts of cookies and money.

I am also super much on vico (duh) so like if I say something crazy, well who can tell with me.

ok internet, here is something I don't GET.

I don't get people basing a fandom on Heath Ledger's Joker. I don't get people writing songs, creating new drawings every day, writing stories about his childhood. I DON'T GET IT. These people are obsessive over the details and bicker at each other over their opinions.

I didn't think it was good enough to really warrant the kind of rabid fangirls that it has. I do not get it at all.

Also, HL's Joker as role playing. No, you can't all be Joker. (or just, J, as they call him. J would love this thing! buhh)

I don't really get fandom's in general (create your own characters, you know?) and fanfic in general is not something that appeals to me. But this fandom in particular blows my mind.

BPAL?May 24

Is anyone on my FL interested BPAL? Especially local, I want to order some but I want to split it with someone because shipping is a bit too much for me to just be getting my feet wet. But I was thinking it might be a nice distraction from my recovery. :) And if I had a local BPAL friend we could swap with each other too, it would be fun.
