Worst Week TV ReviewSeptember 29

Last night I sat down and decided to watch the Pilot episode that I recorded to DVR. This show is the U.S. version of the BBC series "The Worst Week of My Life", in which a young couple get quickly acquainted with their soon-to-be in-laws.

This episode was one great laugh and "Oh,My!" after the other. I just hope they can keep the niche they have going. If they accomplish this it could pan out to be a great show!

Hey everyone! I would like to take a second to ask for your help!

My son Clayton just joined Boyscouts and has jumped into this head first. He is so excited about being a scout. Recently he found out he is selling popcorn to support his troop. This is the ONLY fundraiser that he has all year. This gives his pack money for the events and materials they do year long.

His goal was not to get the bow and arrow, or the DS lite, or even a Wii. His goal was to sell enough for a college scholarship! This made daddy very proud to say the least. It is a very hard goal for him to reach with him having to sell $2500 worth of popcorn. I am just proud that he has set his goals high, and not just for the coolest toy.

I am asking you to see if you would be so kind to help out a great cause and buy some AMAZING popcorn. (By the way, the caramel is AWESOME!).

The Promotion Movie ReviewSeptember 25

You would think that a movie featuring Seann William Scott, and John C. Reilly would be set to be a classic comedy and a gut buster. Well, thats what I thought about this movie and I was wrong.

I will say this movie had me laugh in a few parts, but a VERY few. This movie just seemed so slow and the acting was awful.

Try to stay away from this one, but if you want here is a synopsis from IMDB.

At 33, Doug Stauber is ready for a promotion. He's married, wants to buy a house, and is assistant manager at a Chicago supermarket that's building a new store in his neighborhood. His boss tells him he's a shoe in to manage the new store, then, a rival appears - Richard Wehlner, transferred from Canada. Richard has a deeper resume than Doug, is really nice, has a wife and daughter, and wants the promotion to manager, too. How should Doug behave toward Richard - as a friend, a colleague, a competitor, or an enemy? Richard, it seems, has demons and a past, but with the help of motivational tapes, he's resolved to succeed. Corporate and personal tests await the two men.

Baby Mama Movie ReviewSeptember 22

I decided to give this movie a go after seeing that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were pairing up for this comedy. To my surprise Tina Fey was outplayed by Amy Poehler in this movie.

The movie is about a successful middle aged business woman (Fey), who finds out that she cannot have a child. After trying adoption she resorts to a surrogate (Poehler). Not long after the procedure is performed both of their lives are turned around.

I thought this had a lot more potential than what it's final product was. Poehler was laughable at times but other than that I was left with a dull movie. I wouldn't go as far to say I hated this movie, but will say it wasn't a great one by any means.

Stop Loss Movie ReviewSeptember 21

SSgt. Brandon King (Ryan Phillippe) returns from a tour in IRAQ to find his world turned upside down. As he begins to realize his friends along with himself are having trouble adjusting to civilian life, he gets orders to return for another stint in IRAQ. He decides to go AWOL and in hiding to keep from being "stop lossed".

I have heard many mixed reviews of this movie, most of them being politically based. Get a grip people stop being so political and enjoy this movie for how great it really is.

This was another one of those movies that grabbed me and sucked me into the plot. I have been waiting for another movie like this to come along and leave a lingering after effect on me. This one did just that, a must watch for sure.
