- vlc4iphone:One of the most trusted media player now comes to ipod & iphoneNovember 12
-
We all know VLC as one of the most simple and yet effective video and audio player for a wide variety of systems. After its latest updated for PC this is vlc4iphone. It almost plays anything which you through at it and is a great solution for playing XviD, h264, MPEG4, FLAC, 3GP etc. But still lacks some punch and has many technical issues with video playback and sound, i personally found the latest version (vlc4iphone0.9.9) much more stable. Although it looks the same it is much improved from its previous versions. It now plays XviD, h264, MPEG4, FLAC, 3GP, MP3, MPEG2, AVI, and more!

The newest features and improvements are as follows:
- Compiled in FFmpeg!
- MANY more decoders supported, including support for XviD, h264, MPEG4, FLAC, 3GP, MP3, MPEG2, AVI, and more!
- Added volume control.
- Fixed a warning when no media is found.

- Polygamy:Run Multiple MSN Messenger InstancesNovember 10
-
I get pretty annoyed by the fact that MSN Messenger prevents user from starting multiple instances of the application. Running multiple instances might be useful for users like me who want to use different accounts one for business and the other for private contacts or simply two separate businesses or private contacts.

Although it is possible to use two different clients, for example MSN Messenger and Meebo to connect with two different user IDs but that means you need to cope with two different applications. A more straightforward and simple way is to use Polygamy which patches MSN Messenger so that it can be run multiple instances.
This software can patch various versions of MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger including the latest official releases and several beta versions.
The patch comes basically with two switches, one for enabling multiple logins and one to disable the feature again. All the user needs to do is to make the selection and click on the Patch button to patch the file.

Great thing is that the app requires no installation just launch it, its built-in tabbed browser lets you simply launch it, head to Last.fm, YouTube, a site with proprietary Flash video, or nearly any other streaming media, and hit “Start Media Capture.” After the files are on queue, just convert and save to your format of choice. - Norton User Account Control replaces annoying Vista UACOctober 14
-

Unless you really love Vista blacking out your screen and asking you with annoying popups to give access to a program or not is a strict no no for us. Norton unlike there annoying activation nightmare products, this free application named Norton User Account Control replaces Vista’s default UAC with a more user-friendly and more secure UAC. Most of the people that switched there workspace to Vista quickly got annoyed with the UAC and decided to disable it altogether.
Norton UAC is a much friendly option, as it has a simple Don’t ask me again option and gives you better details about the program that was prompted by UAC, so you have a better understanding what actually is wrong. Norton UAC is a free beta download, requires Windows Vista.
